Rachel Whiteread

Whilst doing the 50 uses of a rubber band I had a look at other artists that did similar things and remebered studying Rachel Whiteread at college.

Rachel Whiteread uses plaster in many different ways to create casts of pretty much anything and everything to maximise its initial uses.

Both of these were created using simply disposable card board boxes used in packaging.

Although my favourite piece of her works is the 'Modern Chess Set' (2005) where by she has used toy furniture, offcuts of paper, materials and carpet.
